Jehlani White, MPH

Jehlani White, a Southside Chicago native, earned his Master's in Public Health with a focus on Social and Behavioral Sciences and LGBTQ+ Health from Kent State University and currently serves as the Program Director for Colors+ Youth Center. Among White’s community impact work includes his being on the team that conducted a Greater Cleveland LGBTQ+ Community Needs Assessment. This work is being expanded to 5 other counties in the North East Ohio area. As a College Now Mentor, he supports high school seniors in their college journeys and previously served as Program Manager at Plexus LGBT & Allied Chamber of Commerce. A 2022 Foundations for Philanthropy fellow, Jehlani aims to promote queer joy and community collaboration. He draws inspiration from the Ubuntu philosophy, "I am because we are," and recharges by spending time with his pets, partner, and friends, as well as dancing, cooking, and creating art.
