Mel is a Queer Latinx creative born and raised in Chicago, Illinois with a passion for learning and understanding people, narratives, structures, and the overall way the world eb and flows around us. Mel is an illustrator whose work often explores memory, how and why certain memories stick to us, despite how big or small they may seem in the moment of experiencing them, and how they shape the people we grow into.
Mel believes that centering equity, inclusion, and identity is essential to uplifting voices for communities who have not been given full rights, access. This means that we must have a voice and be a part of shaping and envisioning a more equitable future.
